What if... What if Kira can't read and the main reason he's punishing criminals reported on the news is because the newscasters are saying the names aloud? Had he ever killed the ones in newspapers or articles? Think of it.

L is not Kira. Kira is a god of justice who judges sinners.

Kira seems to focus on Japan when targeting smaller criminals. The Japanese referred to him as the killer or the 'Kira,' based on how they pronounced the word. Eventually, the name Kira just stuck, and everyone started calling him that. It makes me wonder on whether he likes the name or if he would like something more sophisticated like Thanatos.

No idea whether or not he is, but I hope Kira is just one person. I have 0 faith that an organization would be able to judge criminals for a long time without someone eventually faltering and exposing the whole group.

While this website is still fresh and new: does anyone have any idea where the name "Kira" came from? I keep seeing it pop up more and more online, although no official sources (from what I'm aware) have used it yet.

I definitely agree Kira is not one individual but a whole network, all the prisoners dropping dead inside prisons definitely drugged by staff in said organizations or drugged unknowingly by other staff. As for the criminals dying outside of prisons- I laugh at supernatural theories. It’s definitely other citizens using this Kira craze to disguise their kills

Maybe Kira isn't even real. L could have killed Lind L. Taylor just to cover up a secret organization he is part of, one that eliminates criminals. Now, everyone is searching for someone with supernatural powers, capable of killing with heart attacks from a distance, while in reality, a secret organization is using an untraceable poison to eliminate criminals the same way. And all of this could just be a distraction from the murders they don't want us to notice, because we're too busy focusing on criminals dropping like flies.

>>3 nah, I even doubt that L is one person. More like group of detectives

What if L is Kira? What do you guys think??? It would be intresting. People are dying and he doesn't get involved
